Producing a hydroformed product consists of a series of sequential forming operations. Before the hydroforming operation can be performed, other forming operations like bending and mechanical pre-forming must be performed. Hyfo developed a finite element model which simulates these sequential operations in one run. The model takes the property changes of the previous forming step as the starting point for the current step resulting in a reliable material description. | |
