Hydroformed parts

Hydroforming involves liquid being forced under high pressure against the surface of a metal blank or against the inner wall of a tubular blank. This expands the steel to take the shape of the die cavity.  The advantages of this technology are integration of parts, weight and cost reduction, increased structural performance, and design flexibility.

Hydroforming has the ability to produce components with a continuously changing cross-section in a component originating from a single, tubular piece of metal.
